I have found the best way to give advice to your children
is to find out what they want and then advise them to do it.

What does Campbell like to do? She likes to stay indoors, help in the kitchen, and play dress-up. She is a 'girly' girl. She will gladly help me in the kitchen, since she knows the end result is......food! She will go outside, if prompted.....or forced. If there is snow on the ground, she will only be out for 10 minutes (it takes longer to put on her coats, boots, hat and gloves). I'm hoping to encourage her to spend some time outdoors this spring.
Carson, on the other hand, is an outside, get dirty, kind of girl! She will stay outside all day-- working with Dad, playing in the garage, helping with chores, and 'exploring' around the yard. Most of the time she will stay outside until she's knee-deep in mud or soaked to the bone. This spring we've had a 'river' at the bottom of our property. She and Travis (whom I've nicknamed Lewis and Clark) will play and wander the river for hours. Carson is her Dad's right-hand-man and proud of it.
What about Colbie Jane? We are not sure who's footsteps she'll follow--- will she be an outside girl like Carson? A stay-indoors girl like Campbell? Maybe a good mixture of both. Nontheless, she will be an original. Just Colbie.
