Our beloved Golden Retriever, Beaux turned 9 years old on Thursday. That's 63 in Dog Years.
Did Beaux get a special treat on his birthday? No. Did he get a nice long walk? Nope. Did he even get a, "Hey Beaux, it's your birthday...Happy birthday!?" Nada.
We forgot.
I guess our life was a bit hectic last week with meetings, sickness, church commitments, doctor's appointments....the list goes on....and it just slipped our minds. When I finally remembered Saturday night, we gave Beaux a few extra hugs and belted out the birthday song.
He forgave us.
Sorry, Beaux. We'll make up for it next year!
