Children Make Terrible Pets, by Peter Brown, is a great story about Lucy, a bear, who wants to keep the little boy she finds in the woods, but her mother has reservations. Of course, the bear and the child do not speak the same language, so the interaction is hilarious!
The Park girls give this book an 'enthusiastic four thumbs up!' "It's a very funny book!" Campbell explains.
Note to readers: You must use a high voice when reading the little boys' dialogue (squeak). It will get a laugh...every time!
