Saturday morning was our first Sertoma Soccer practice. The girls were able to chose their shirt number. Campbell chose #4 because, "I'm four!" she said. Carson quickly chose #7 because, "Daddy says seven is a lucky number!"
They were excited to get the season started this morning and they jumped right in. We talked about not using your hands, kicking and stopping the ball or "squashing the bug". Campbell was interested for a mere 7 minutes.
So, I'm an official "Soccer Mom"....and coach nonetheless. If you have any pointers on how to teach soccer to 5 and 6 year olds, I'm all ears.
